Empowering Health Leadership: Ahegel Technologies welcomes AL for Health Mastercard Foundation Scholars to join Homnics telemedicine startup.

November 2023.

After presentation during the AL for Health's "Healthbiz in 30mins," Ahegel Technologies is glad to announce the arrival three (3) AL for Health interns to the Homnics telemedicine startup. The interns are also part of the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program. The collaboration with AL for Health represents a shared effort to catalyze positive change.

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), a threshold density of 4.45 health workers per 1,000 people is needed to deliver essential health services and achieve universal health coverage. In Africa, the current ratio is 1.55 health workers (physicians, nurses, and midwives) per 1,000 people, below the WHO threshold density. Homnics is driven by a dedication to revolutionize healthcare accessibility through cutting-edge technology. This mission aligns with AL for Health's goal of cultivating health leadership.

In part, AL for Health has provided exposure and support to the telemedicine startup. Furthermore, the collaboration involves the integration of young, talented leaders from the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program into our startup—a collective effort poised to address Africa's most pressing healthcare challenges. As we embark on this collaborative journey, we anticipate the positive transformations that will unfold, contributing to a healthier and more accessible future for all.

Through this vision-oriented collaboration with AL for Health, we are excited to welcome exceptional interns into our team. This initiative is part of our shared commitment to fostering talent and contributing to the development of future leaders in the health sector.
