Job Title: Back-End .NET Core (C#) Software Developer

About the Role:

As Back-End .NET Core (C#) Software Developer, you will work closely with the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Mobile Application Lead and other members of the engineering team to support the development of a cutting-edge telehealth platform and Electronic Health Record (EHR) system aimed at improving access to quality, affordable, and convenient healthcare. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to impactful digital health solutions in a start-up environment. You will work in a dynamic, collaborative environment to develop and maintain scalable backend services that power our web and mobile applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand the codebase and features of the telehealth and EHR platform.
  • Develop, test, and maintain scalable and secure back-end components using .NET Core and C#.
  • Design and implement REST APIs consumed by web and mobile clients.
  • Optimize application performance and ensure system reliability.
  • Participate in code reviews and adhere to best practices for clean and maintainable code.
  • Debug and resolve software issues in a timely manner.
  • Contribute to documentation for code, APIs, and system architecture.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies and frameworks relevant to the .NET ecosystem.

Requirements:

Technical Skills:

  • Strong C# and .NET Core development skills.
  • Familiarity with REST API development and integration.
  • Familiarity with relational databases like SQL Server or PostgreSQL.
  • Experience or understanding of logging and monitoring tools (e.g., Serilog, Elasticsearch, Kibana) is advantageous.
  • Exposure to front-end technologies (React.js, Redux, or React Native) is a plus but not required
  • Knowledge of version control tools (e.g., Git).
  • Basic understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., Azure or AWS) is a plus.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work in a collaborative, remote team environment
  • Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork and documentation
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced startup setting

Education and Experience:

  • University Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Relevant experience is highly valued.

Monthly Salary: N 150,000 - N 250,000 - N 350,000; depending on level of experience

Hours per Week: 30 to 35 hours per week (Full time)

Position End Date (If applicable): 6-month initial contract, renewable up to 2 years
